About

Welcome! I am so glad you are here. My name is Vicky I am a 32 year old wife, mother, coffee lover, photographer, student, and now trying to be blogger. Reality is I enjoy reading especially articles since that’s all the time I have for with running the show of a household.

For years I have tried resonating with a writer yet, I couldn’t come across a blogger that I could identify with. Therefore I decided to create this blog for the purpose that it finds the right audience such as parents like myself.

Parents who are trying their best to raise neurodivergent children in the 20th century.

We are a generation that is trying their best to raise neurodivergent children in a society that wasn’t designed for them.

I want to share my experiences in navigating doctor’s appointments, therapies, advocating during ARD/IEP meetings, sharing links to resourceful information.

I am a mother of two awesome kids one, with ADHD and the other with Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you are reading this my hope is that you find it helpful and makes you feel less alone.

I know first hand how difficult it was for me to get sent home with a diagnosis and not have the resources to move forward. There wasn’t a guide. There was no map. There was just a 24 year old realizing she needed to do research and find answers. I reflect on that because that 24 year old Vicky was scared of the unknown, my oh my if she just knew what the future held.

Blessings,

Vicky
